Hotels have always been the solution to overnight trips while on vacation; however, seasonal rentals have become more common for several reasons. Whether it be greater convenience, cost, or higher luxury, seasonal rentals have many advantages over traditional hotel stints.
- More Space for the Cost: With a hotel, you pay a pretty penny to have the opportunity to stay in a room with most likely only 2 beds, a tv, and a bathroom. Whereas seasonal rentals often include an entire house, or at least the entire floor of a house. Since seasonal rentals are not owned by a massive hotel chain oligarch, they are able to keep costs down and provide an entire home for you to stay in.
- More Amenities: As mentioned previously, seasonal rentals often are much larger than a hotel due to them being houses. This means that you will most likely have access to a full kitchen for cooking while on vacation, and an entire living room for relaxing. A standard hotel will only have a small fridge and maybe a couch, if you’re lucky.
- Looking Less Like a Local: Staying in a home rather than a hotel means you are more likely to have an authentic experience of someone who lives there and not the prescribed experience of staying in a hotel wherever you vacation. While the difference may be minimal, it can change the entire feel of your trip by making it more authentic.
A hotel may be the traditional way of traveling overnight, but seasonal rentals can be much more cost effective, comfortable, and convenient no matter how long you are staying.
