- Color
Colors are perfect mood setters in a living space. People use different colors in different rooms. For instance, blue in the living-room promotes relaxation and calmness. Red is an excellent color for the dining area.
It encourages appetite. Every color has three unique features; Value, Hue and Intensity. Interior designers use them to achieve the desired color effect in a living space.
- Line
Lines produce shapes and forms. They allow an interior designer to know where to place different objects in the space. They have three categories; Vertical, Dynamic and Horizontal. Knowledge of them enables a designer to establish contrast in a living space.
